PUBLICATION ETHICS

The Borneo Journal of Sciences and Technology (BJoST) is committed to uphold the highest standards of publication ethics. All authors submitting their works to the BJoST for publication as original articles attest that the submitted works represent their authors' contributions and have not been copied or plagiarized in whole or in part from other works. The authors acknowledge that they have disclosed all and any actual or potential conflicts of interest with their work or partial benefits associated with it.

It is important to avoid:

Data fabrication and falsification:

Data fabrication means the researcher did not do the study but made-up data. Data falsification means the researcher did the experiment, but then changed some of the data. Both of these practices make people distrust.

Plagiarism:

Taking the ideas and work of others without giving them credit is unfair and dishonest. Plagiarism is a serious issue around the world in the arena of manuscript writing. Plagiarism means “the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of the one's own original work”. This is generally noticed that authors are simply copying scientific data and information from the other published papers, which is an awful practice in academic fraternity. Therefore, we request to all our author(s) please adopt the holistic & pragmatic approach to design the manuscript of interest. Hence, BJoST will not be responsible for further action on Plagiarism issue. The author will be solely responsible for the plagiarism issue.
